Some Bunny’s First Holiday

There’s something special about having a home big enough now to host our family for holidays. Let me clarify, I mean little holidays. There’s no way I’ll be taking on Thanksgiving or Christmas.

So when we bought the house right before the big holidays, I said I would take on Easter to appease my family. And I forgot I said that, and luckily overheard my husband and uncle on a call a month prior saying how he can’t wait to see the house for Easter. *Cue the frantic planning.*

After some Pinterest searching for inspiration, I decided on a moody tablescape. Shocker. I already had a lot of table decor from previous baby shower, birthday parties, wedding, etc., but now that I have extra storage space in the big house, I think I need to buy new color tablecloths and napkins for everything. As always, I order any linens I need from Tablecloths Factory.

We decided to host a brunch to keep the meal a bit easier. We grabbed some premade quiches and a ham from Costco, and I cooked some bacon, breakfast potatoes, and a French toast casserole. We only have one oven, so I tried to plan things that could be cooked at the same time or in other ways. If you haven’t done bacon in the air fryer yet, you’re missing out. IMG_6047

For the bacon, I set the air fryer to 400°. I like to make a little bowl out of foil by folding up the sides to catch all the grease. I cook the bacon for about 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. The cleanup is so easy doing it this way, and I was able to use the oven and stovetop for other goodies.

Both the breakfast potatoes and French toast casserole were recipes by Chrissy Tiegen. Both were also the food items that my husband couldn’t stop talking about. The casserole is amazing because I was able to make it the night before and bake in the morning. The potatoes are made on the stovetop, so I was able to make those last as the quiche was in the oven. We also had a spread of many other foods that my family helped bring, resulting in way too much food, of course.

Although I was super stressed, everything turned out amazing and even better than I anticipated. I can’t wait to continue making memories at our home for many years to come. And to continue to grow my collection of linens.
