I had the honor of being able to host my best friend’s bridal shower back in November — and it was a hot pink disco dream.
Of course, I was planning to go above and beyond, but she also gave me the theme and go ahead 6 months prior, which meant each month, I could reset my budget as if I didn’t spend the last 5 already gathering and making decor. Girl math.
I was in charge of everything decor, and being able to host at our home too, also meant the only commute I had to make with bins of stuff was down the stairs — this didn’t help in reeling me back.
There’s so much that I’ve been able to collect over the years, so curating from my office closet is always my first step to see what I can use. And despite already having pink tablecloths, I still bought new ones. Just weren’t the right shade of pink, ya know?
As usual, all my linens are purchased from Tablecloth Factory. I did reuse the pink runners from my baby shower, though, just to remind my husband all these orders are useful.
My favorite candlesticks, pink tapers and bud vases were a few other items I already had, as well.
To finish off the table settings, I had the help of Ruby Bloom to make the most gorgeous arrangements for the centerpieces and backdrop.

The backdrops were ones I’ve had and used previously, and I really wanted a huge statement, so I used all 3, matching the paint to different pink and orange elements I was using elsewhere for the party. For the balloon arch, I used 4 different packs, so I could mix and have enough big sized balloons between this arch and the one I was placing out front for the welcome sign.
After attaching the balloons to the backdrop using the jumbo black clips, I tied in the different sized disco balls as accents and a few bundles of flowers clipped to the edges to pop out too.

I kept the display out front pretty simple — luckily, since it blew away about 20 times. I used one of the extra disco ball vases as a base and an easel for the welcome sign. I used my Cricut to design and cut out the lettering, along with all the paper flowers (made by rolling the cut out design and hot gluing together).

My favorite decor piece that I was most excited for were the chandeliers I hung from the string lights — and in hindsight, the reason said string lights crashed to the ground a month later. Worth it. Sorry, babe.
I made them by looping 1.5” strips of plastic tablecloths around floral hoops and hooking to the wire above. They were so gorgeous and such a statement piece. I was ecstatic over them.

My best friend’s lovely mom handled all the remaining details including the party favors and drinks, and the amazing food was catered by Lets Brunch. They do an incredible job setting up their display to coordinate with the party, and the food is outstanding! Highly recommend working with them if you get the chance.

This party was not only such an honor to host, but incredibly fun to test out new ideas and get creative. I hope our bride enjoyed it as much as I did.
